CodaScan writes the captured metadata into the Google Drive file description. Teams can inspect that context in Drive without maintaining a separate metadata store.
Narrow access to the destination you select
CodaScan uses Google's drive.file scope and the native picker. It works with the folder and files your team selects, plus files it creates, rather than requesting broad access to all Drive content.
Photos go directly to your provider
Google credentials stay in protected device storage. Photos and metadata upload directly from the device to Google Drive; CodaScan's central service does not receive them.
