How to organize barcode-linked photos in SharePoint

SharePoint is good at storing and retrieving structured business records, but frontline photo capture often begins as an unstructured camera roll. The missing connection is a reliable identifier and a consistent set of metadata collected at the moment each photo is taken.

Start with the retrieval question

Before choosing folders or columns, ask how someone will look for the evidence later. Will they start with an order number, product code, batch, pallet, shipment, or quality-control checkpoint? That answer should drive the capture identifier and the SharePoint structure.
